Hey,
Anyone here work with Logic 7 on Mac?
I've been using it for quite a while and theres one thing that has got me totally stumped. If you mark a region (say 1 bar for example) and select bounce it always misses the first bit of the bounce (usually around 1/4 note or so). I've tried different settings on the core-audio setup, record options etc and nothing seems to help.. is seriously annoying. Any ideas? |

i've never had this problem myself but i would just move the markers so that you have one bar more than the section you want to bounce, bounce the audio down and then when you re-import the audio cut off the unwanted section @ the start of your loop |

Question for you:
What are you bouncing? An instrument? and audio region? an external audio instrument?
This might have something to do with it. |

It's usually an audio region, or an AU instrument. I deal with my external gear seperately through recording. It's just really annoying having to trim the front off every time. Especially if I load that loop into another program like Reflex beat slicer or across to the PC to edit and bring back. I sometimes just load the audio into Audition and trim it there, however.. what is odd then is say I'm running 138bpm and I take a 2bar loop with 2bars of empty space at the beginning of the bounce, one would think that by dividing the number of total samples in half you would be able to cut it there, but it's sometimes 2 or 3 samples out.
As a possible solution to my problem I think I will no longer use bounce, but perhaps record RT via Soundflower. This might be a better option. |

This happens to me also. u can drag the marker backwards to give you a bar before 1 this usually helps and it catches the first note of the instrument. |

Yeah.. it seems to be the only solution, pretty pathetic bug to still have at version 7.2.3 ;)
Oh well, life goes on and I will work around it.
Thanks |
