To celebrate me getting a new pair of decks and mixer I decided to throw a mix together. Its quite moody, with very few "anthem" moments, but I think it all sits together quite nicely. Please feel free to tell me otherwise :p (constructively of course ;))

Really nice to hear something different, not a lot of DJs are really playing stuff on this prog trance/psy borderline at the moment quite like this and there's loads of creativity there at the moment, plus you can weave in quite a few older tracks (like you've done here!)
Some top tunes, loving Brisker & Magitman stuff at the moment.
While I appreciate it's a relatively subdued style, I didn't think there were many "highlights" as such, just a really nice mix to listen to in the background. To make it more of a club mix, maybe it could have benefited from one or two slightly more uplifting tracks to give it a couple of peaks, although I think it works well as it is on the more subtle side of things :) |

I like!
Basically it's nice to hear this kind of trance - nice driving stuff that doesn't rely on massive breakdowns and huge riffs to be effective. Mixing is good as ever, so yeah, a pat on the back for you sir :D |

Now that was the one track I wasn't too keen on tbh :p
The Nick Rowland mix was better imo, I can't really say I'm a massive fan of the hard trance around at the moment, it all goes a bit too over the top and flies around all over the place. |

Overall, great mix*, some nice tunes in there, great flow to the set too. :)
* except for Tikal - Welcome, which I have said since I first heard it is a massive pile of trash but would be a good track without those immeasurably stupid vocals. :D |

Cheers man, glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate the comment about the flow, I was worried about dropping the energy down in the middle with the brisker and magitman track, people dont always like it when a set doesnt constantly build in energy towards the end.
And that Tikal track, very much a marmite tune I think, you either love it or hate it ;) |
