OneRepublic - "Dreaming Out Loud"
http://www.myspace.com/onerepublic
The band was formed in 2003 in Colorado by Tedder and high school classmate Zach Filkins. The pair moved to Los Angeles, where they picked up fellow Coloradan, guitarist/keyboardist Drew Brown and drummer Eddie Fisher. The band’s most recent inductee, Brent Kutzle, plays bass and adds something extra to live shows with his classical cello.
In addition to his work with his own band, Tedder is a Grammy nominated writer & has written & produced tracks with/for various other artists, including Natasha Bedingfield, Jennifer Lopez, Lil' Jon, Paul Oakenfold, t.A.T.u., Bubba Sparxxx, Tupac and uber-producer Timbaland. A remix of OneRepublic’s song “Apologize” is featured on Timbaland’s album, Shock Value, which was released April 3rd, 2007.
OneRepublic is the no. 1 band on MySpace and has been in MySpace Music’s Top Artists since summer 2006, with over 12 million total song plays and counting – remarkable for a band that is yet to release an album.

Personal comment:
This band (and album) is going to be HUGE (even without the Timbaland remix which has been popular [which is mostly beats and Timbaland doing "eh-eh" over top]). Watch this album climb the charts (it was just released today).
Although one would classify the album as "rock" is not a hard rock-it out type of set. The collection is more intense piece of work with sombre melodies and beautiful instrumental work (not to mention stellar composition). The entire album is great work (which isn't all that common these days, but one might expect that it is good since it took them 3 years to put the album together).
I encourage you all to check the band and album out. I picked up the album off iTunes for $9.99 (it has bonus tracks and videos).
Check out the tracks: Say (All I Need), Stop and Stare, Apologize, Mercy and more.
