I know right...quite the opposite...Place was packed...huge turnout...Chris Willis sang some opening songs...then he dropped so many good songs:

Robyn S. - You've Got To Show Me Love
Laidback Luke & Steve Angello - Be
Dirty South - Let It Go (Axwell Remix)
Shinedoe - Phunk (Steve Angello Remix)
Laidback Luke : Break The House Down
Justice We Are Your Friends v. Benassi Public Enemy Pumpkin edit
Guetta - The World is Mine
Masi and Mello - The Afterworld (2008 re-work mix)
David Guetta - Love Is Gone
Daft Punk - Around The World (Kid Dub remix)
Yves Larock - Rise Up (Vandalism Remix)
David Guetta - Baby When The Light (Rister and Garrard remix)
Pryda - Muranyi
Prodigy - Breathe

Everyone was dancing in that place...it was pretty hot too but despite the crowd, enough room to dance

I can't stress enough how much fun i had...ill post some pics soon

Sorry I thought the night was horrible. Couldnt get any cheesier than I thought. Cielo is not a place for Guetta. Suprised they brought him there. I've always listened to quality music at Cielo but for the two hours I was there, I wanted to kill myself. Never again!

I hate to be an ass, but if you were having such a horrible time why didn't you leave...the event was sold out, the door was hectic and it was hot and packed...plus it was a holiday and other clubs were open...

seriously you could have left and if you thought the music was cheese then you obviously don't know David guetta b/c the music he spun was a lot of the stuff hes been playing on his radio show for the last 2-3 months...Every song he played fit his currrent sound so I was not suprised at all...

Everyone I saw there was dancing and I heard no complaints from the crowd...you should have left if you wanted "to kill yourself" bc id probably had more room to dance or order a drink...

seriously its so easy to bitch after the fact but honest to god, everyone in that place looked like they were having a good time...i went solo and met up with two friends so i'd notice if people werent digging it bc i pretty much covered the whole dance floor at one point or another

You're hilarious. For the record, I had the exact same experience as redlight for his gig last year. And yes, people were dancing and having a good time then, too. People ALWAYS dance and have a good time at peak time at Cielo. Secondly, you act like it's impossible for people to dance to cheesy music that's poorly mixed (which is my biggest complaint with Guetta). He's like the Oakey of house music.

Lastly, what's been with people trying to "be nice" lately with their disagreements with people. "I hate to be an ass" followed by an entire review where you act like an ass because someone, god forbid, criticized something that you liked.

I'm not saying that its bad to have a different oppinion but to be so god damn dramatic is lame...I wanted to kill myself...Either dont go, shut up and don't say anything, or next time your at a club and instead of saying youll kill yourself, do it bc im sure itll make the night a whole lot more interesting...

no one has a gun to your head or is telling you to stay...

I hate people that go on boards and then complain, complain, complain...If it sucks leave...go else where, it was freaking packed so you wouldnt be missed...and so what if I used the cliche "i hate to be an ass"...i shoudlnt apologize bc I enjoyed writing it and being an ass while writing it...Some idiots who compare killing themselves to a bad night of music, come on and get real with it...you deserve a reply like mine...

The music wasn't cheese...the crowd in attendance was cheese...a bunch of stuck up yuppies if you ask me, but regardless of that there was a great vibe...I admit I am tired of hearing Guetta play the same tracks that Guetta plays gig in gig out, but, he played an awesome set that had everyone into it...he may not mix tracks like Armin or Eddy halliwell or even mix for that matter, but He knows how to work a crowd...

I was let down when I saw him in Miami this year but he redeemed himself Thurs nite and laid down a great set that was a lot of fun...

Who do you think are the people that love David Guetta? The parties are called " Me, I'm Famous," not " Me, I'm a Good DJ." He's a few cheesy mash-ups away from being DJ AM. There have been times that he's played and it's been "jacket required" at Pacha or Crobar (Halloween 2005, I think), so what did you expect the crowd to be like? Not to mention that Cielo always has a contingent of suits because it's in the Meatpacking District right next to all of those other clubs that cater to that crowd.

Oh, and to say "why didn't you just leave and go to another club" obviously shows a complete disregard for the cover for this party, which was $10 more than last year's. Also, for all you know, he was talking to some hot girl and wanted to stay for that reason, but the music still sucked to him.

The fact that you're getting your panties in a bunch over a harmless figure of speech boggles my mind.....I could go on about how annoying it is when somebody questions another persons review but I think I'll just sit here shaking my head thinking "just another worthless review thread."

First of all RUDE I am entitled to give my opinion and experience of the night! I could not leave because of car issues and I was standing in the smoking room most of the night because each time I went into the club the music was so poorly mixed and chosen that I was cringing. I am a frequent visiter at Cielo and I went to this party on a whim. It was definitely not quality music and those that were dancing had no clue what the music was about. Just hands in the air, filtered crap. And for the record, Guetta is known to record his tracks (pre-mixed) in segments and play them. It's known all over Europe. I dont think he did this at Cielo bc you can see everything from behind hence why he never lets anyone in the dj booth when he is mixing. He's another Morillo and I learned my lesson. Never go to the cheese fests again. So, take it or leave it buddy. Let's dig up some of your past posts and see if you never complained about a certain dj or night.
