I'm gutted to say it, and i know everyone found out a few days ago, but yes, NEWCASTLE FC will be playing CHAMPIONS LEAGUE next year.

Being a BORO (Middlesbrough) fan myself, i'm devestated, but strangely, i'm happy that CHAMPIONS LEAGUE football will be played in the NORTH EAST of ENGLAND:eek:

Just interested to know what the rest of think on how they will perform, and what you think of it overall???

This is for you ALEX, geordie supporting scum!:D

I think boro is weak and the geordies suck and they will get killed in the champions league. Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchest United have a good chance again next year. But then again, who knows.

Can't help but like them because of Bobby Robson - hope they do well.

Newcastle dont have a big enough squad yet, look at what happened to leeds 2 years ago when we were in it, we concentrated on the champions league to much, and as a result our league performance suffered, so newcastle will either do well in the champions league, or the premier league but not both me finks

I think with the money we make from getting into Europe, if we flog Cort (if anyone'll have him), we could sign up a decent defender or two.

I hate to say, but i totally agree, NEWCASTLE have awesome support, and with CHAMPOINS LEAGUE TICKETS and TELEVISION MONEY, they could buy some major signings in the SUMMER!!!

Bobby Robson has the experience, I'm sure he'll take the Toon Army far. :) Good luck to the magpies...eventhough i dont like em

Kieren Dyer has just been put out of action by some nobber from Southampton :whip:

Apparently he has been stretchered off in agony. This is a time to get injured, what with the world cup coming up!
