afaik guiseppe uses a lot the novation supernova.. it's not a typical virus or nl sound.
Storyteller
I'm guessing Supernova as well. He uses it as his midi controller for his live gigs. :)

Yes I saw the video in youtube sometime ago (not still there)
He uses a Novation Supernova 2 and a Evolution MK-449c controller.
But in studio maybe they not only use Supernova 2...

I love the soul of "Supernova 2" (If you'r right :D)...

Altrought can I reproduce this sound better in JP-8000, Nord Lead 3 or Access Virus Ti?

I'm purchasing a Ti next month!!!
Storyteller
Well I do think the novation synths are a bit feisty & harsh overall. Kind of their signature sound imo. So no, but of course you can get close with some work :).

Storyteller, I'm thinking in sell my JP-8000 and make a 100% mobile studio only with Virus Ti and Sony Vaio.. Good Idea?

Khayat, Novation only sells nowadays... They are plaining something for 2008?

cristianokeller
no :D

But the synths, soundcards.... all !

There are a few effects and reverb on that pad, which makes it harder to pick...it doesn't sound like a Supernova II to me, not really like a JP80x0 either. I'd reach into my Nord Lead 3 for that sound, and use some effects/ reverb on it.

Here my attempt using JP-8000:

Quite possible, but it has a strong chorus effect that your sample is lacking. Good attempt though.
