Don't people write that it's Toronto's mega-club all the time? Sure, there are seperate rooms. It's like your house though.. they're just different rooms, not different houses.
All the rooms are under the same roof and run by the same owner/management/staff.
I'm aware "Guvernment" is the official title of the room, but I think when most people say "guvernment" they mean the whole building and say 'main room' when talking about where MO spins. |
its not like having different rooms in your house. each "room" in the guvernment-koolhaus complex has its own entrance which makes each room its own venue. there is an entrance to the orange room (doorway is on queens quay, east of the drink), entrance to the drink (which is the same entrance for skybar), entrance to the gallery, entrance to d'luxe lounge, entrance for koolhaus and entrance for guvernment. do you have all different entrances for each room in your home? if you do then you must live in a pretty big ing house. :)

tanja is the little sitting area right next to the orange room. you walk through the tanja lounge when you are going between gallery and guv. |

I stand by the fact that they are only differently rooms in the club and not their own 'club'. If they were their own clubs, they'd all have a own websites. I think they only reason they have their own entrances is so that you don't have everyone wanting to get in through the one entrance. That also ties in with an escape route if there's a fire. Could you imagine trying to get out of guv during a fire and the only exit is on the other side of the building. |

ok you have a point there.
but just because a person paid for an event in one room shouldnt mean they should be granted access to the other rooms. if there was a concert in koolhaus on a saturday night (or even leatherball for people like cuzo) then should the people in koolhaus be allowed in guv for free? and vice versa? they are separate events. period. |

I agree with you there. Events are a different story. Especially when it's a hard rock concert. I don't many people would even want to switch to the concert or the other way around. |
