maher warmed things up from 2am-315am and did a fantastic job at it, as usual...then sultan took over and made the entire crowd jump out of their skin, again, as usual...playing his chuggy, thick, fun-flavoured tracks and providing an unmatchable energy that not one other DJ can provide behind those decks. and then...
me running...
jesus christtttt this man throws it down propaaaa every single time.
nothing but solid, ing unqiue, fresh, sound defining beats. a true sonic experience was once again provided for me by Mr. Masiello...the vibe was great, happy people, smiling, dancing...packed dancefloor of about 650-700 people...so many ramming basslines with lots of funky, deep techiness for the ears, some uplifting prog as well...until the end when he just slammed the outta that system and provided a HUGE kick in the ass for everyone still standing...i will never EVER miss this guy any chance i get to see him...the definition of a true musical artist lies in Desyn Masiello. |

meh i agree somewhat, very artistic for sure, but to much uplifting stuff, didnt seem like he was into as much as ive seen him before. Didint really feel a vibe in the crowd, too many friends and friends of friends visting with friends that brouoght their friends, seemed like everyone was just socialising not really partyin. Two completly different perspectives eh :p
Sultan played some of the tracks that are on that Desyn set (thread) nice to hear those at stereo, incredible.
oh ya another thing i noticed during sultan's set, way to much TREBLE nd other high ear piercing frequencies, think a few people noticed it and was taken care of more than once. Its too much when that happens especially at Stereo, ya knw.
sorry if im being really critical, its just what i hear, see nd feel.
Gotta love those fat chunkey bass lines though :P

it was a great night.. not much uplifting but great nonetheless.. i agree with licks, i dont think he felt the crowd at all!! or maybe they were just not into it!

desyn never ever looks like he's into it dude...not cuz he's not enjoying himself, my god, he loves what he does 100000000% and he believes in it even more so...
he's a compulsive, obsessive DJ...for him, his mix must be spot on or he's not happy. taking your time and essentially babying every mix as he does just shows how perfect he wants the end result to be...to me, that translates into a man who thoroughly gives a huge about what he's doing and who thoroughly loves what he does.
the feedback i personally got from the dancefloor was nothing but ove-the-top comments and reactions...
the highs were high cuz of the djm800 being used instead of the urei...the club's system is designed to perform optimally with the urei as the mixer so its kinda somewhat normal and to be expected that some sound frequencies weren't spot on...

i enjoyed his alot better this time the one i heard in the spring....def has a wide range of sounds that makes sets so unique..
Def a younger crowd than i would normally expect. Good to see Desyn has a nice following from a younger generation..I can see why not everyone is in to his stuff....either u love him or hate him...for the ones who love him..he's GOLD. :) |

worst stereo experience for moody + 30
off beats...bad break downs..
stereo had no expenses really..no lights visuals..bars..
all the people kept whispering..."is something wrong?"-"i think i took a bad pill"
