this is the problem im having with my PD on my show. now i dont have a problem talking but hes absoloutly convinced that if i dont talk every other song the show is suffering because of it. now i dont have a problem with talking but i feel im in the majority that as a fan i dont want to hear a dj talk over every other song.this is why i stopped listening to judge jules show.
the question is do you like when a dj talks during every other song? what do you think about a two hour show with no interuptions?just curious what people think about this. |

sometimes I do. When its a hot track and I don't have time to look up the track list. But anyway sometimes its kinda funny the way they pronounces some track names so it makes me giggle to myself :p
If its too much talking and plugging then I get annoyed.
There are some shows with no interuptions, the usually only speak once in the beggining and then in the end. |

no.
Blank and Jones say welcome to the show blah blah..
then at the end they say THANK YOU blah blah.
There is no need to talk every 2 songs if it's an internet radio show. Thats my biggest peeve with TATW. |

Agreed. If you like the track, wait for the tracklist online. |

| Its actually a copyright requirement for unreleased material...Prevents bootleggers pirating mixes for profit.... |

i knew i wasnt the only one who felt this way.he even went as far as to say my numbers were up because i was talking more.yeah im sure its my lovely voice thats attracting a crowd and not the pounding dance music im cranking out.i should just talk about me day for two hours and not play any music .my ratings should be off the charts then! |

The DJ can talk every once in a while, only if he's IDing sick tracks. If not then no, not at all. Mixes are just fine the way they are. John Digweed's 'Transitions' is okay as far as the mix to chatter ratio goes.
Talking over tracks = bad
Talking while tracks are mixing = okay |

i actually don't mind the format of TATW at all, i think he has a very enthusiastic *radio* personality and i like hearing views/opinions/info about the track and it keeps me interested
i dunno about everyone else but i hate hearing monotonous voices, even when announcing. |

+1 I was gonna mention TATW as well. I guess some people are easier to listen to than others. A&B don't seem so boring.. 'course they also read fan emails and talk about upcoming gigs and whatnot. |
