Actually no. It's very clear. From his life purpose he is then able to determine if any actions are aligned with his purpose or if he's heading in a different direction.

You are referring to a career, but why did you choose it?
Another way of looking at it... if you had all the resources (money, time, contacts, etc) that you ever needed and you didn't need to work to pay bills, what would you be doing? |

Because that's something that helps me understand the world I live in and how to deal with people. And, because I like it.

There you go, *this* is closer to a life purpose.

That makes it a passion, and if you're passionate about something then you're more likely to stick with it even when things aren't going your way. So your chances of success are greater. |

Sometimes I wonder, although I'm stubborn enough to try no matter whether this is true or not :( |

True, there is a difference between "like" and "love".
Albert Schweitzer:
Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful. |

Is this a trick question?
For the benefit of those who have never heard of him...
| quote: | | Albert Schweitzer was an Alsatian theologian, musician, philosopher, and physician. He received the 1952 Nobel Peace Prize in 1953 for his philosophy of "reverence for life" |

Yeh I know, good point of discussion though.
As for the "mourning" or feeling bad when something doesn't work out, that's a whole topic in itself :D |

We can talk about that tomorrow. There's just one thing worse than mourning: meta-mourning :D |
