I know how the fader start function works but I dont know what cable to use. The manual says "use a control cable to connect the control jacks of djm400 and cd-player" alright, but how does that cable look like? :)
And what about that port on the left side of the mixer, what is that for? And the thing on the right side, next to the beat effects?

yes, it's 3,5mm mono to 3,5mm mono, but i'm sure you could use a stereo cable too if you had one lying around. |

Yeah, stereo 3.5mm cable would work too.
And I'm afraid I dunno what the port you're talking about on the left hand side is... no mention of anything in the manual and I can't see anything on any pics.
Which thing on the right hand side? |

i know you cant see them on any pictures and that is weird. it must have some kind of function.
on the right side its something else, I dunno how to explain it.. you need to see it for yourself :) |

| here you can check a 360° view of the djm 400. i guess those "ports" have something to do with fuses or taking the mixer apart or something. dunno, could be anything really. |

| yeah the thing o the right might have something to do with repair or taking the mixer apart but the thing on left side looks more like you can plug in some cable |

i have a djm400 and didn't even notice that until now :tongue3
on the left side it has a little removeable clip and inside it looks like something similar to the pins in the back of a cd rom where you would plug in the power supply cord. (it's just a little white clip with 6 gold pins to plug something into). i'm also interested to know what that could be for? |

they sound like jumpers. dont know the use of them on a cd player.. maybe reset any memory stored in the unit? like the clear cmos function on a pc.
Email pioneer and ask them?
