I've just had some new Sony MDR7506's (which sound amazing btw), and I'm wondering whether like speakers, do these need to be broken in by playing music through them at a low volume for a day or so?
Don't wanna go blowing these babies up you see. |

Ok, but do they need to be broke in? ie - keeping the volume down for the first x amount of hours play. |

Many people beleive in "burning in" a new set of headphones. It is best to leave them on all day at low-medium volume, with a source that covers all frequencies. Its best not to run heavy bass thru at the beginning. Then slowly progress to louder and more bassy music.
Usually takes a good 200 hrs or burn in time for best results. |

Nice one, I'll just leave the radio playing through them over the next week then :) |

Only used them for about half an hour but they are leagues ahead of my old Sein HD212's. The beats are very crisp which makes beatmatching even easier and more accurate.
As for posting a review, I would if there wasn't already a massive indepth thread about them... ;) |
