What type or brand of DJ/Production softare do you use? I'd like to start playing around making some mixes and not sure if I should go with a package like Virtual DJ or just stick with MixMeister Express, which i have now.
Any Suggestions?
Edit** i know there is another forum, but we have a lot of local talent on this board, so I thought i'd get some local opinions. |

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Has anyone used any software that they don't like?
I'm thinking of getting one of the Pro editions of virtual DJ, Mix Meister, or perhaps SoundForge, and using one of the mixers to mess around with. Any advice on what to useor more importantly, what not to use? |

Well the most important deciding factor is: what exactly do you want to get out of it? What do you plan on using it for? |

Currently,I am using mix meister express to make basic mixes to burn to CD's or mp3's, But i want to expand that into better quality mixes and remixing some tracks. I'd also like to mess around w/ DJ'ing, but i think the primary focus is better qaulity mixes and remixing songs. |

good for edits and the possibilities are endless when u use it to dj ... only thing is u have to time out all your tracks |

| as every1 above said..ableton is perfect for what you want to do. but if you want to seriosly make tracks, i'd suggest getting a mac pro and get logic pro and maybe slave it to ableton if you so desire too. im currently saving up for that now as ableton is good and all i just think it lacks certain things that a software platform like logic has, also my pc is getting quite out of date and lagging way too much. need to upgrade |
