yeah i rented this when it first came out on dvd. it had my ex-gf balling her eyes out in one scene and me going holy for most of the movie. i definitely give it a thumbs-up.

i watched the movie as soon as it came out on dvd...enjoyed it but some of my central american friends thought the natives were potrayed in a too "savagely" way

ask your friends have first hand knowledge of what life was like in South/Central America back then. :p

then remind them that it's just a movie, and just another twist on your standard action movie plot.

this is a really awesome movie, u actually learn alot about mayan culture as well and it is very graphic.


did anyone else see the scene where mel gibson is laying in the pile of dead bodies with the "wheres waldo" suit on? here is a link of some guy showing the scene

This movie was far closer to the reality of the time, than any Hollywood production ever attempts to be.

Intense movie.

Mel Gibson is brilliant and we as viewers are better for the films he makes us.
