7 of us went up to Pacha to see Pete Tong and some other guy on Saturday. All and all a great night of music and dancing. We got in around 12am and the place was full but still room to dance. The opener was just not doing it for me…don’t know but I was just not enjoying it all that much. Turns out much to my surprise it was Trent Cantrell…one of my fav. Producers.
Pete came on around 2:30 and was on the mic right from the start and had the place getting nutty. He started off playing a lot of hand bag but still good house music for my taste. Got everyone into it…. his eary stuff included a great remix of Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer”. By the end of his set I was loving it. The last hour or so was nothing but Jessie Rose type stuff and techno. Reminded me a lot of the stuff Digweed is playing these days.Mixing was solid nothing out of this world but clean and danceable. Great set and well worth the trip.
JP came on around 6am and just started banging it out. Not much of my thing and by that point the crowd was just starting to get to me. We bounced and headed home at 630. Five hours of dancing and well worth the trip.
