So ive been always interested in DJ'in since my friend has been doing it for few years now. I messed around on his decks and i get the basic idea. I don't want to get new stuff right now, so im going the used route. My friends GF gave me a Stanton rm 22 mixer and im buying Numark axis 2 (pair) from a local NYTA.

My friend has been using Scratch since it came out and i also have used it. Its very easy and i like how you can just drop in MP3's. I know its pretty expensive so should i just stay with burning cd's and then move up later, or just get Serato Scratch? Is there any other software that i could use? I also have Ableton Lite Live 6, but this is for producing, right?

Im just happy that im finally be able to start dj in my bedroom bymyself..

yay

At minimum you'll have paid $150 for this piece of software - seems odd to me you don't even know what it's for.

Are you going to admit to downloading dodgy software?!?!

Fair enough. Like a man in the orthopaedic shoes: I stand corrected.
