Spundae was Warm

Just thinkin back to the trips to Spundae Saturday's 2001-2004, and how that fellow (never got his name) when you first got in always gave people walking in a warm welcome before entering into the outside patio area. I think that its brilliant for a venue/club night to do something like that because it brings out a family type...warm vibe amongst the patrons. And that attitude carries over throughout the night for the club goer. No other big club has captured the vibe/atmosphere that Spundae had, I kinda miss that. I think more clubs like Giant @ Vanguard and Avalon should incorporate a warm welcome to its patrons. Its not something that will cost a lot of money to do and is seems easy to implement, and would definately increase repeat visitors and the overall value of the club in the eyes of the patrons, lead to more epic nights with everyone just loosening up and collectively wildin out more.

Nice. I think it will pay off for everyone. You promote for which club(s)? I think the person or persons you choose to do the warm welcomes is important too, maybe older people in their 40s-50s would work best. That way no prideful dude gets wierded out if another young guy is huggin their gf, or a girl getting wierded out if a young woman is giving a warm welcome to their bf.

I agree. And it sure would be a novel concept. The only greeting I ever get is a surly look from the bouncers and ticket sellers.

his name is cole and there hasn't been a feeling like spundae circus that i have experienced yet out there. i know i'm still a newbee to the club scene but still, it is just so sad that the whole vibe, feeling, people, building, love, food, environment, music, has to die when that building gets leveled. pretty sad fcking day if you ask me :(
