oh ok. i met some people from out of the county that didn't like it, that's why i thought they may not be the best choice. that seems like the cheapest way to stay in the city. |

Hello fellow TA's
I was wondering if you could help me out here. I want to come to the US for a month and I haven't decided where I wanted to go.

go to Toronto, its like Chicago's younger, STD-free sister, if thats your kind of thing. Plus, clubs like Guvernment, Circa, Republik, and This is London with tens of thousands of clubbers out every weekend, how can you go wrong?
I will never forget when I was at the guvernment, there was like 10,000 people there, and they called it a SLOW night
republik had one of the best light shows I had ever seen and probably the nicest doorman as well (actually all the doormen in Toronto I encountered were extremely nice). Chicago is a beautiful city, however, its really worth visiting in the summer when you have many more options. Summers in Chicago are amazing. |

Come to think of it, I've never stayed in a Hostel in the US, the closest would be toronto(that place was a totel hole. But if your going to stay a month hotel's get really expensive. Check hostels.com.
Also downtown hotels tend to be much more expensive on the weekends. IE...friday and saturday nights. During the week it drops down quite a bit depending on the time of year. A couple years ago I got a hotel on a sunday for $95 when I would have been paying 50-75% more on a saturday. Scout around for prices.
Here's some site's.
Priceline.com
expedia.com
hotels.com
I hope you have a wonderful stay here in the US. |

Hello fellow TA's
I was wondering if you could help me out here. I want to come to the US for a month and I haven't decided where I wanted to go.
So I said to myself "why not meet some fellow trancers from the other side of the planet?"
Do you know where I could find cheap accomodation anywhere in the Chicago region (not West Coast, sorry delobbo :)), preferably in a city with a nice music scene (Chicago would be great but Indianapolis can do as well)
Let me know if that sounds either possible or totally crazy.
Many thanks in advance. |
you should check out couchsurfing.com if you want to save money and don't mind a little adventure. |
