French dude wants to come to the US

Hello fellow TA's
I was wondering if you could help me out here. I want to come to the US for a month and I haven't decided where I wanted to go.
So I said to myself "why not meet some fellow trancers from the other side of the planet?"
Do you know where I could find cheap accomodation anywhere in the West Coast, preferably in a city with a nice music scene (New York would be a formidable experience)
Let me know if that sounds either possible or totally crazy.

The West Coast or NYC (east coast)?? :conf:
If you're just looking to stay a month try checking out http://newyork.craigslist.org/
You could browse apartments there and arrange to rent out a room or an apartment for 1 month for the equivalent of just a few hundred Euro. Shouldn't be too hard. =) |

NYC is east coast.
AS per cities: I would check out NYC, Miami, Las Vegas, San Diego (or some sort of southern cali), San Francisco. agree with blake on the craiglists idea. |

i'd recommend hostels because it's cheap and you can meet other travelers.
edit: as for cities to visit to party, I'd recommend NYC, Chicago, San Fran |
