my question is can men make a reasonable living off of it?

| how many famous male porn stars have you heard of compared to female? i think your chances of making it big are pretty low. i'm just assuming because if i were shooting a porn, i'd have to pay the girl money and i'm sure i can have a list of guys willing to volunteer. |

Yes if the d00d becomes an established porn star in the gay market. A guy can make way more in the market for gay male audience than straight female audience, which is kinda strange considering there's far more straight women than gay men. I used to work around d00d porn stars, half of them straight. Even the straight ones said there's far less money in straight porn (unless ur Ron whatever his last name is). It's probably cuz str8 porn caters to str8 d00ds who want to see hot chicks, and don't give a about the guy. So the producer hires some hobo off the streets for 50 bucks or something to hump pretty ladies. |
