I have a friend who has taken a job in the US starting jan. 2?
the company has a random drug testing policy and he asked me if i knew how long it takes to get out of ones system. Does anybody here know or have any tips to clear the body faster? |

| i believe mdma alone is not testable after 5 days... however amphetamines and other stuff that may be in a pill last a lot longer, but as far as i know this isn't usually tested by employers |

those are estimates for urine tests I believe
if they test a sample of your hair then it takes alot longer to clear out of your system. |

This is very true. I used to work at an addiction/recovery center and they did urine tests. It was really tough to test the coke and E users because they would be sneaky and use thursday or friday so that they tested clean by monday. Thats not 100% of course but 2-3 days usually works. I wouldnt push it tho. |

I was tested before I started my job this past summer. Most companies use urine tests for the following:
1) Cannabinoids (marijuana, hashish - tests for metabolite THCCOOH)
2) Cocaine (cocaine, benzoylecognine, cocaethylene)- tests for cocaine metabolite)
3) Amphetamines (amphetamine, methamphetamine)
4) Opiates (heroin, opium, codeine, morphine, 6-AM)
5) Phencyclidine (PCP)
It is sort of the big 5 that they usually test for.

They have a chart for the difference in detection periods for different methods (hair, blood urine.) Keep in mind though if your friend is a regular user of the any of the following it could be detected in their blood or urine for longer than what is on that chart.
There are a lot of kits you can order online with stuff you take and then home tests you can do to see if you will pass. Apparently they work pretty well because a lot of guys from work used them and were pretty heavy into drugs (I worked at a road contruction company in Calgary.)
But if you friend is a guy and he is worried about his hair ( I don't think there is much of a way to get around that) tell him to start sporting a very short look. |

| keep working in Canada where these tests are not required or legally able to be demanded by an employer. |

| i think only the police or military require blood/hair samples (in canada at least) for a drug test, urine tests are a breeze in most cases because most substances get flushed out of you relatively fast |
