Mandy Reid Website
(By the way, her website is insane!! Completly new design)
“Mandy Reid is one of the UK’s most exciting new producers; she is one of the most exciting electronic artists to come out of Ireland for many years…..she is a fantastic DJ and an incredible producer to boot”- Carl Cox comments on his Global internet radio show.
In March 2006 Mandy experienced what most up and coming artists might only dream about when Carl Cox featured her on The Global Lowdown segment of his internet radio show, where he dedicates a half hour mix to tracks chosen from his favourite DJ’s, producers and labels worldwide.
The excitement continues in 2007 as Mandy gets the biggest compliment ever when the world’s number one DJ Paul Van Dyk chooses Mandy for his new producer feature whilst standing in for Eddie Halliwells Residency show on BBC Radio one!! Paul compiled a 20 minute mix with 4 of Mandy’s tracks for the show, familiarizing the name Mandy Reid the world over!!
Paul van Dykhas featured “Up the tempo” in almost every one of his DJ sets around the world and continually supports on his Sound garden show on Fritz, germany including His Radio one feature, coupled with plays from Radio one’s own Judge Jules and Eddie Halliwell, the track has emerged as one of the biggest club tunes of the year for Mandy, it is on the Bonzai imprint and available on vinyl and download now. “Tornado”, the newest club bomb from Mandy is causing a storm already, and with Paul Van Dyk alone leading the charge and causing the hype with this one, it is set to be yet another future club anthem in the making.
Since Mandy’s first release as Disco construction in 2004 with Size Records, the long awaited follow up to “Can’t get enough” is finally here and we can honestly say it is worth the wait, already being pioneered by Paul van Dyk in his shows and sets, swiftly snapped up by Media’s house label UMM and due for release in the fall of 2007!!
Mandy is proving to be a dab hand at remixing for some of the hottest vocalists with Mandy’s remix of Loverush Uk +Shelly Harland-“Different world” coming out as the top selling on i-tunes from all the mixes, and, its not surprising that the Loverush Uk outfit have requested Mandy to remix their next singles featuring Kirsty Hawkshaw and Andrea Britton. Loverush Uk + Kirsty Hawkshaw-“Loverush” has already entered the Buzz chart at no 15 and with Agnelli and Nelson already supporting Mandy’s remix on their Deep Blue radio show the early signs are strong for this one.
“Tribute” will be the next of Mandy’s releases from the Bonzai stables and more to come in the future with the Belgian label. Mandy will play a DJ set in the Bonzai area at Tomorrow land, Belgium on July 28th along side label mates Yves Deruyter and Airwave, Vandit label’s Giuseppe Ottoviani and many more.
The intensity rises for the biggest Planet Love in Northern Ireland to date and Mandy will be DJing in the Coach tent at the event, you can check the links below for all the updates on releases/remixes/projects and DJ gigs where you can catch Mandy Reid.
Hope everyone enjoy. :D
It will be the last show of 2007, so wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year! See you in January!
