I have spent the past couple weeks trying to figure out what audio interface i would buy. After alot of research i decided on the Echo AudioFire2 Firewire audio interface. However i just recently looked at my computer only to realize that it had no firewire connection. So my question to you is will i be able to use this Audio interface with some sort of adapter?

You'd probably be better served to get a PCMCIA Firewire card and plug your Firewire audio interface into that.

Look out for one with a Texas Instruments chipset, as recommended by ECHO.

Go with the suggestions above... the 'adapter' you're questioning likely doesn't exist.

Nah you can't really convert firewire to USB, they are very different beasts and the drivers would never work anyway.
If you have a desktop machine, you can get a Firewire PCI card for very little money, but as suggested looking for the TI chipset indication.
Laptop you'll need a PCMCIA or what not. |

SIIG cards are mostly TexasInstruments... Just incase you're having trouble searching, but check the individual card before you buy. :)
