Makes me wonder, though. Now that the "literary studies" crowd has resorted to analyzing pornography as "texts," why not "2girls1cup?" |

Everything on the internet is fake just like everything on TV is fake.
I know Futurama isn't real, but I laugh anyway. ;) |

Heh...
One of the most exotic essays I read this year was about pornography and perlocutionary force (achieving something through words). |

I love it! People using analytic philosophy to justify censorship.
Amazing, the contortions that moralists go through to advocate silencing people they don't like. |

Indeed :p (that's the original article, in case that explanation got you interested)
I couldn't believe what I was reading: either I'm watching the wrong porn or I'm weirder than I thought :D |

Together with all its material supports, authoritatively saying someone is inferior is largely how structures of status and differential treatment are demarcated and actualized. |
Notice how she slips in that single but very important word, "authoritatively," in order to make her argument more convincing. Pornography is an authoritative pronouncement that women are inferior?! How scandalous.
I wonder if she explains how pornography becomes "authoritative." LOL. |
