Rich in a poor country or poor in a rich country

What would you prefere?

Personly it really depends on what country.. as the lack of proper healthcare, corruption and protection would be aweful to be without.. especially if rich in a poor country.

But on the other hand if you are rich you can just travel somewhere I have it done.. and many poor countries have extremely beautiful settings!

On the otherhand being poor in many western countries, is still middleclass with all the free services many countries provide, so here too it's a matter of which country...

Basiclly I think I would prefer rich, if it was in a stable and tropical paridise with enough protection, to make me feel safe enough not to worry about it kind of like Mexico. My uncle's are rich and they have beach condo's in all of Mexico's best resorts.

What's your thoughts?

"poor" in a "rich" country.

oh, and ethiopia, despite their *skyrocketing* tourism, does not strike me as having a beautiful setting.

If you were rich in a poor country , you'd be able to get what you wanted regardless if it was around or not.

it depends on what your concept of rich and poor are. do you consider poor as in lack of money in the bank? or poor as in lack of material things around you?

the US's nation debt is outlandish....by any means if someone had even 1/10 of that as their debt, they'd be considered poor...
