hi all,
i'm planning on going to montreal on the 31st , to Red Lite in Laval. my plan was to take the greyhound from toronto to montreal, and then take a cab to Laval (red-lite). i'm curious as to how long that cab ride is and how much you think it would cost me.
somebody else told me i should take the 'metro' from montreal to Laval and then cab it to red-lite, as this would be cheaper.
Or the other option is to take the greyhound to laval and then take a cab from there - and if that was the case, how long would that cab ride me and how much?
of course I'd like to cut the cost but i'd also like to make this as simple as possible(ie without getting lost and having to wait hours in line because i was 'late ' getting there).
so which route do you think is best?
sorry this is a little long but any information would be great. |

| metro to cartier station is the best solution, same metro line, about 20 minutes ride. then cab it. plenty of cabs in there. |

thanks for your reply malek.
and how do i get from the greyhound station in montreal to 'metro'?
is it in the same complex?
and also, as it is new years, will 'metro' be running all night and day? |

the greyhound complex is under construction at this moment, so i don't know if its still directly connected to the metro as before. Worst case, you'll have to walk a block (to the east). Metro is not 24h, the last metro is at 0h58 AM and service restarts at 5:45 AM. |

I don't know much about the metro , but depending on where you are in montreal a cab ride from downtown montreal to red-lite will not be a short trip.
Unless the cab driver is milking you he will probably take the 15 north or the 19 north ( depending on where you start from ) to laval and then to St.Martin ( red-lite is off of this street ).
It's not a long drive but it will take some time. I suspect at least $40 one way.
It would be alot cheaper to stay in laval. The main streets have hotels that are not far from the club. |

I hear you. You almost want to say avoid the hassle going to the burbs and pay maybe $20-30 more, stay downtown and go to Bell instead. Oh well.
Take the subway to the end like Malek said and get a cab from there. Google is your friend.
Also, Coach Canada.. cheaper than Greyhound at the moment |

But spin laden does make a valid point: Why would anyone come to Montreal on NYE to party to house music all night and NOT goto Resolution? I just don't understand that.
That is of course you prefer to have alot of people there , if your one of those who likes to have the entire dance floor to yourself then sure goto another club. LOL!
