with all the respect, armin has changed during the years and so did the show. it's all a matter of taste now.
the name "a state of trance" might not be so relevant theese times when some episodes harly trance oriented.
armin is a good dj REGARDLES OF DJ MAG.
the second hour of the show is more to my likes (and other forums as well).
in my opinion armin's show should be better and play newer quality trance tunes just because he is ARMIN VAN BUUREN. he gets tons of new stuff from all over the world and his career was built on trance.
we cant complain, armin is super busy guy and the show is for free listening on di.fm . armin tries to satisfy all the people around the world so he playes a variety of stuff in ASOT theese days.
i admit there were 4-5 good tracks in the second hour but some of them were already played in previous episodes. many of the tracks he plays are exectly what "above and beyond" played some weeks before.
ASOT could have been MILLION TIMES better... wanna know why?
becase of the fact there are "smaller" djs who play quality trance tunes earlier and make them hits before he plays them.
even tracks that are about to be released on ARMADA are played by smaller djs before him. just listen to di.fm and etn.fm it's not a big secret. |
