It’s here! Sander’s debut album will be released on or around March 3rd 2008! You’re not going to be able to escape this piece of work as we put our feet to the pedal in preparation for this long overdue LP! With forums on fire with rumours about what it all about, you can be sure you won’t find out anything beforehand than right here with us in the SVD newsletter! As if a remix and an album wasn’t enough - we’ve a BRAND NEW SVD single to tease you with... Unfortunately that’s all we can tell you about it, other than it’ll be with you very very soon!
Can't wait to hear that.

I, for one, can't stand his new stuff.... His productions pre-2007 as Sandler, Sam Sharp, and his remixes as himself (Sander Van Doorn) were pure creativity and a new sound no one had ever heard before, true genius... Now it's just "techno for dummies"... Anyone listening to real guys like the producers Chris Liebing or Dave Clarke or Adam Beyer are supporting will realize how technically and creatively superior they are... For me, Sander's definitely above-par, but not the mastermind or genius people are beginning to claim he is... I really don't think he's pushing the boundaries, like he was doing two years ago. His current sound is something Marco V would have banged out (successfully) several years ago, but it's nothing refreshing in my book... Just my two cents, I'm sure plenty of people are going to disagree with me though, but that's what we're here for!! :p

YEAAAAAAAA alright more like , "I liked him when he was new and now that he's big and popular I'm not allowed to like him yeaaa underground 4 lyfe suck it tiesto!!!"
I for one can appreciate a dj not because of his image or popularity but because of the artistic merit, if you can't get past the fact that he made it then too bad for you.

You really got me figured out there, Miss Cleo... LOL... First off, I'm not a Tiesto hater, I liked him a lot after I saw him last... Everything I said in my previous post was comparing to other artists (and their musical and artistic preferences) who have made it 40 times bigger than Sander has.... Thus, my comment that technically speaking, he's techno for dummies, after listening to real-deal guys like Preach, Liebing, and whatever producers they've got in their record box at the moment... Nice job.

I agree that SvD is overrated.
I think, however, that you are using the term "genius" a little too liberally. Albert Eistein, Thomas Edison, Ludwig Mond, Isaac Newton, Leonardo da Vinci, Milton Friedman, Adam Smith, René Descartes, Sander Ketelaars, which name doesn't fit? Hint, it starts with sander.

All of you who say you have the right to like someone even though they are famous - STFU! So many times do people get attacked from s who say "oh so he wins in polls cause of this and this.. or you only like him cause hes famous." This argument should die already. People like SVD cause they like him - and dont cause they dont. People like tiesto cause they like him or dont cause they dont.
About SVD, i never liked him and still dont. I def think for his genre he is overrated as there are others i prefer way over svd. .. and i dont like him cause he is famous and im cool just like 90 percent of this board. THE POLLS! im to good for the top 10000000!

I think for once, that's not the case... Like I said, I'm clearly comparing him to both REALLY REALLY FAMOUS guys, and really really not famous guys, saying there's a lot of guys out there who are technically superior and fans of Sander should open their eyes to them... I can't help but listen to "back by any demand" and think (((hmmm.... cheese.). I can't help but listen to "riff" and think (((hmmm.... Marco V 2001.). When I heard "adrenaline" by Purple Haze, I thought that track was amazing... His "direkt dizko" remix was amazing... His Arctic Monkeys remix was very good, and so was his "s.o.s." bootleg... There's plenty of guys who have made it successful and are now famous that I think are amazing... Granted, I think Sander's talented, I have respect for him and yes, I might actually catch him next time he's live, BUT I was anticipating people saying how amazing he was, so I gave my own opinion, as harsh as it may seem... Anyway, I'm curious to see what he does with an album, as opposed to a single.
