so last week i found my old atari2600 system in storage. the only problem was i was missing the power adapter so i ordered a new one from ebay along with a few more games. i get the package today and was all excited to play some old classics but then i realize that my controller isnt working properly (wth happened to all my other controllers?). i tried cleaning the contacts inside but that still didnt help so i ordered two new ones today and now i gotta wait another week until i can play games. this sucks.

sorry, just venting.

classic systems like the atari, intellivision, nes, sega master system are REAL games. games are meant to be fun, not make you think like you're writing an exam with a million different buttons on the controller. one or two buttons are all you need. :)

I'm personally a fan of the SNES controller. 4 buttons plus shoulders is great. The second shoulder button on the 360 and PS controllers I've always felt was a little extreme.

Would be nice if new games placed the focus back on seamless gameplay rather than intense graffix and marketing.
