new to this whole thing but want to go all the way with my latest track.....and get a professional to master it. probably a simply answer but im going to ask anyway.... is this as simple as just lowering volume before exporting to leave the room.... and should i take all processing of master and let him do his magic....
cau i have a habit of putting a few processors on master to do mixdown so the tune sounds full and phat.... and when i take these off my mix sounds flat...... but i know that if i leave them on the mastering engineer can not undo compression etc etc

any advice would be cool....

Take off all the FX on the master and lower it by 6-12db (so there's no clipping).

Your master channel should peak at -3dB. Make sure you export it as a 24-bit wav.
