Hey guys, I need an advice for a all purposes warm sounding microfone. I don't need too low frequencies because I'm plaining to use sometimes with vocoder and sometimes for female trance leading vocals.
I'm looking for a Shure Beta 57a Am I right? |

| Nice spelling (microphone). Anyway, you might want to look into a USB mic as just about any other will require a phantom power source.. which means an additional investment, most likely. |

57 doesn't require phantom power and any preamp worth its salt will include phantom power anyway;)
But go with a 58 instead because the 57 is too presency for studio recordings. |

No they won't, you're probably thinking of condensor microphones, no dynamic microphone needs phantom power, and the SM-57 is dynamic... |

| rode nt1-a or studio projects b1. both great general purpose mics for the price. i'd probably go with the nt1-a, it comes with a shockmount. |
