My f'ing neighbors just filed a complaint because of my monitors blasting too loud...when in my opinion, they are set below average. Anyhow, what alternative can I take?

I know headphones...but which ones are best and not too expensive?

Any other suggestion.

Thanks in adv.

You live in an apartment... or a townhouse?

At the risk of sounding like a broken record... AKG k240s :D
They're great headphones, I can't recommend them enough.

Maybe invest in some sound proofing instead?

I don't think that's an option. He'd have to build a floating room within a room.

Sounds fun! Invest in a boat, too, while you're at it. :D

Perhaps moving to a new location with a basement? I used to have a pair of 12" subwoofers hooked up to my computer. I would blast it during the day hours and no one could hear it from the basement.

Or just moving away from everyone... that's always the best option.

I'm kind of in the same situation now... I use Sony MDR7506 headphones most of the time.

This is a sticky situation... almost on the borderline myself with neighbors... but I'd HATE to mix in headphones...
