Can anyone tell me how I can recreate the effect on this downsweep on this clip?
I dont think its as easy as gating - it seems to be reversed.
Its probably quite easy but I cant get my head round it!

| find a sample of a sweep, up or down and gate it. add delay maybe? if you can only find a sweep up, then reverse it. it sounds really long. maybe pitch it down and time stretch it a bit too? |

Im assuming I need an upsweeper => gate it => bounce to wav => then reverse it and add effects?
I want to re-create the 'reversing' sound in particular

Dont worry guys - you can stop trying to re-create it now ;)
I imported an upsweep sample - then gated it, with plenty of release, then bounced it to wav - imported it again, then reversed it - and Voila!

| heard this track at tiesto and always wanted to know what it was. just from the sound clip i new it was the one i heard but when that lead comes in...its just killer. |

I think there are 3 fx at the same time: 1 lazer sweep, 1 uplifter and 1 downlifter (the long one).
all the 3 fx are sidechainned.
hope there is.. |

No... There is one that is not sidechainned... The uplifter. sorry
The other ones are sidechainned..
Also the pad is sidechainned.. |
