the other mixers i had looked at were:
Ecler Nuo 5
Pioneer DJM 600
Pioneer DJM 800 (too expensive)
any opinions on what i should go for? |

Not having messed around with a lot of mixers, I am personally a fan of the Pioneer DJM-500 so out of the mixers you listed, the DJM-600 would be my choice since it is essentially an improved version of the 500 which I feel has a clean, simple layout with a lot of capabilities, inputs/outputs, good sound effects, and most importantly good sound quality considering the price and the flexibility the mixer has.

I personally think Pioneer are taking the piss. Apparently they've even raised the price of the 800 just to justify the 700

Don't get the 600 for sure.

I spun last weekend on a 700 for the first time and loved it. Really solid feel to it. Don't go 600 at this point, it's really outdated technology (5 years +).

go 700, forget the 600.
I have the 800 - I ing love that thing. I mean REALLY love it.
And whoever said Pio have raised the price of the 800, it's still the same price as it ever was on the UK sites.
I got my 800 and 2 x CDJ1000s for £2300, which if you remove £788 per CDJ1000 makes the DJM800 £724 - BARGAIN!!!!

The 800 went up around $300 state-side. I was around $1200 before the 700 came out and now it's around $1500.
