Cubase beeing a b*tch, request help :(

ok :conf: this is weird, when i fire up cubase it starts loading plugins,quicktime etc. no problem, but when it reaches loading "global settings" it just stops loading :conf:
no error or fault or anything appears it just...stops??
i tried re-installing of cubase and resetting my computer to a week before when cubase was still running properly but nothing seems to be working..I even re-downloaded it and installed it in a new directory but still the same result
could any1 please help me with this?

Perhaps is not enough just to uninstall it... remember that in the system registry remain little pieces of config of Cubase (and anything)...
My advice is to erase every single part of the software... look at the installation folder... delete everything there as well in your user account settings (if you are using Windows)...
Maybe this is not the best way to do it, but if you wish you could enter into the 'regedit' and search for all terms that match with the string cubase and proceed to erase all data related with this...
In my experience when any software have a very weird behavior... i do this and in almost all the cases it results...
Nowadays some software have the -keep user data & custom settings- option at the time to pretend uninstall it... and do all the work for you.
Given that it stop at the moment of trying load your global setting, I bet that something is messed off somewhere.

I had some unheard of problems in Cubase... No matter how many times I uninstalled/reinstalled I still got the same errors.
Ended up deleting the entire directory, removed every VST on my hard disk and ran a registry scan (CC Cleaner). Reinstalled everything and haven't run in to any problems since. Used to drive me insane. |

thnx for the reply guys, i´ll try doing what glsmaster and blahzaay adviced me to do, as for the buy thingy.. i know i´m currently savind money to buy the legal version of sx3, problem is thats its frikking expensive..
i have my h20 crack running yeh but it doenst matter whether i shut it off or leave it on still the same result..
anyways thnx a lot for the advice people..
