Sergio Fernandez with some serious drummy party tunes in Helsinki. Really digging this set! Someone bring this guy over, I'd love to hear him at Stereo with Carlos Manaca or C&C...
31min :) |
He was here at Footwork prob 6-7 years ago? Was him and D-formation. He kinda fell off the map for a bit and has been making a resurgence |

the set is ok imo. there is def some groovie stuff in there, but for the most part its generic tech house loops (carlo lio style) gets repetitive after a while
i used to looooove dj vibe but he is changing his sound lately. i would def like to check him out at stereo one day tho i bet he still got it in that room...
i can only imagine how he was during his prime tribal years. he must have left people in shambles |
Ya now that I gave it another listen it's not as great as I hyped it up to be lol. Wishful perceptiveness on my part.
His prime IMO was 2006-2007. I was so grateful to hear him for my birthday in June 2007 at Stereo. That was one of the best tribal sets I've ever heard bar none and is what I compare all tribal sets to. Only Jackie, Cribby, Sarah and I got to witness that spectacle!

The year that Richie Hawtin, Gaiser and Pig & Dan played at Stereo, I stayed for Vibe the next night, and while I expected to have a decent amount of fun, he actually DESTROYED the previous night. Top 3 Stereo nights for sure (after Roger Sanchez and Ricardo). |
I remember you telling me this one night, you were super excited about it lol. Wish I could've been there that night!

Yup, that was Sept 2007. D-Formation was kind of disappointing but Sergio Fernandez stood out with the big drums. Ended up at this dope loft party later on that night. Kenny Glasgow was spinning at the top of the stairs when all of a sudden it got raided by undercover cops and next thing I know everyone was down on the floor. That was ed up :nervous: |

DT last summer had his moments but overall i just want that old school vibe, calderone,c&c sound back for one night ha ha ha |

Anytime buddy! It's been forever. Hope to see you out at an event sometime in the near future. Definitely missing those JaXx Houze parties ...
This is an oldie but I just had to post it. What a great 3hr set by Rick Pier O'Neil from Club Plazma, Bulgaria back in 2005. Any house/prog/tribal head will love this set!

Track 10 was hilariously awesome, but I came in for Tecca and he delivered. A lot of his productions are top notch and I rarely see him on people's track lists. |
