This has gotten out of all proportion, but with our press it's not suprising. I don't think theres an England fan who'd moan if he got his 100th cap, but when he hasn't played for ages and this is one friendly, it needs to remain in context.

Fabio ed up on Beckham @ Real, and I don't think he'll make that mistake again.

When Beckham starts playing again, I'm sure he'll be back in the squad.

I wonder if Becks is still behind his decision to move to the USA? Though, with his money, if he wanted it badly enough, he could buy himself out his contact and come back to England.

Food for though.

he went there for one reason. Victoria. He doesn't care where he plays, anyone would pay him silly money but she's a moaning cow who uses threats against him about the kids etc so he's giving her her way.

What would Becks have to prove by coming back to England?

At least in US, he's creating a legacy for himself.

In the US the guys doing all. His a wannabe celebrity who lets his missus decide on where he should go.

If he had any sense he would of kept in Europe.

Does he think it's April 1st?

He gave the ball away a lot in the first half, mind you a lot of players did, but still I agree with people saying Richards is better.

Taken from Richard's BBC column:

"I was gutted to miss out during Fabio Capello's first game in charge of England against Switzerland on Wednesday.

During training on the day of the game I tweaked my back when I went in for a slide tackle and when I got up I could not bend my back properly.

Our physio Gary Lewin said not to risk it so I realised at about 2pm on the Wednesday that I would not be able to play."

As side that, Wes Brown has been playing RB all season for Man U and has done a fantastic job, but the other night he was ing dog .

I think Neville's England career is over. He's been injured forever lately and Man U player's have a habit of retiring from international duty long before they retire from club football - and considering England won't play another tournament until WC2010, I can't see Neville being around then. Credit to him though, he was one of the best right back's in the world.
