could be a modifed version of the sub7 trojan, try scanning ur memory for some trojan horses, some can play around with ur mouse...may i suggest a firewall to see if there is someone else on the other end of ur computer?

sounds like an optical mouse. but even if it isnt its pretty sure to be a driver or compatability issue. Make sure you have the correct and nlatest drivers for your OS. If that doesnt fix try two things. Try putting another mouse on your comp and see if it does the same thing and then put your mouse on another comp. Thatll telll you what the problem is :)

Ok people...
I think you're missing the bigger picture...
He has fomatted the computer

Any suggestion of a virus or trojan after that is just...well....you figure it out...

He told us it isn't a wireless (I already asked that).

And software drivers are out too since it was working before.

It isn't SOFTWARE related...it can't be... :p

LoL...thank you...so then u really think its hardware?...my brother in law suggested i clean inside my comp all the dust and buildup through the years....he said that could be making it overheat...

Have you tried those mice on other comps? and if you think someones Fing with your cimp disconnect from the internet. Make sure there are no IRQ conflicts. What were you doing when the problem occurred. You said that you were messing around inside your comp when this started. What exactly and think of everything you did, did you do. Did you ground out before touching parts?

umm that is generally not a bad idea..
check whetehr there is something (dust/ goop whatever) inside your ps/2 port..

as for the moving:
if you happen to put your pc in a bad spot.. there might be a lot of interference!
