it was meant for you guys not to leave so early :whip:
and about that spastik track, he must've played it for like 15 minutes or sth like that... uncreal... an then the melody line from claude von stroke's famous track, when he was twerkaling that nasty thang... i'm pretty sure he recorded the set... lets beg him for it
as for the milw. crew, it got even better after u guys left
best ableton set i've ever heard.period. |

That was one of the best live shows I've ever attended. It was right up there with Carl Cox at Moby Area Two tour and Sasha and Digweed at Allstate Arena for me. Max really covered the wide spectrum of EDM, starting off a little proggy, then going into straight up TECHNO, with some added pure Trance and House tracks. This was 10 billion times better than the last time I heard Max live, which was mostly dirty Electro House. I think we have all had our fair share of that :o
Oh, and thank you to all the out-of-towners that made it out! The place was rammed. Definitely made it one of my most memorable DJ nights in Chicago. I had a really hard time getting home in the dense fog too. It made me miss a crucial exit on the expressway, hehe.
P.S. Myra, that track you were asking about is Paul Keeley - 'Sunset Boulevard' on EQ Grey. It was #1 in the Balance charts and it's a Desyn Masiello favorite :) |

heh, yeah i've had it for a while, i just couldn't remember who the artist was but once you said Paul Keeley i knew right away what it was. sick track! although like you said, kind of annoying that it's 9 min long and doesn't really need to go on for that long.
great track to end a set with though!
it's a shame we had to leave early, but i'm glad we did. we didn't even walk in our door until around 5:30am, and if we had stayed until close i don't know how we would have made it home. |

great night, big ta showing too which is always a plus. tony your sets never fail to impress me.
perhaps the best moment of the night was hearing max drop "stocktown" for about 32 bars, and then re-dropping the entirety of it about twenty minutes later.. ace.
as for the weather- like myra said it was dog on the way back and it's probably for the best that we dipped out when we did. the milwaukee area was pretty scary around 5 this morning. surprisingly not because of the hookers and bums this time though :wtf: |

the highlight of the night for me was doing the stamp, milk the bull, milk the cow, milk the bull, big ball/little ball, pick the apples :stongue:
and hanging out with garth at the end of the set standing in awe of the way max ended his set. |

There was a series of :wtf: s
Definitely a very eclectic set, even before you all left I couldn't really describe it. Then he dropped some piano diva house and trance and :wtf: s
Was cool meeting some new TAs like jonze and darin (your set was sick, really glad you dropped perseverance), and the usuals of course. You all should have stayed to afterparty :gsmile:
Yeah and he totally kept bringing spastik in and out for like 20 minutes. |
