This track has a very solid kick, many euphoric lead melodies and pads woven in a syncopated, uplifting mix. It is a result of several weeks of hard work. Please leave some constructive feedback. Thanks!
Cheers

Hey,
first things first: you posted the link wrong :P

(first bracket was skipped)
nice kick
0.30 - nice panning on that vox sample :)
cool build up to the break, like the strings
hmm, not too keen on the choice of vocalist honestly. Just my taste, but shes a little high for me, sounds like she should be singing on ian van dahl
3.00 - this seems to be missing something. Maybe just a melody in the background with a faster rhythm? just to push the track along a bit, if you know what i mean. something like an arp possibly
like the plucky synth that comes in
overall, nice track, well mixed but just seems to me to miss something just to drive it a bit later on.
Cheers,

Yo you know what i already think of this track haha well kinda i guess cuz i have like 1000 samples u sent me of it while u were working on it lol. I think that in the long run you should focus a lil more on your beats and the dynamics of your percussive sections. The melodies are nice but they dont have a strong drive to back them up. Anyways u know where to find me. And I'm not sure if i'm going to finish the remix you know how i am with my music. >_<
Anyway cheers man! |

no doubt top notch production and programming ready for the dancefloor.
the only advice I can give is personal from a dj perspective the breakdown was too long and too quiet. Those kind of breakdowns scare me because first it makes the crowd stop and look at you and wonder is it time for a smoke break. Even if the breakdown was designed to be long and build emotion which it does by itself don't get me wrong I like to put some kind of tic or closed hi hat just to layer over the top to give the crowd something to keep moving to. either that or shorten it not make the silent part so silent for so long. add some cool sounds, heavy breathing a sound bite from a movie whatever. just my opinion though and what I think could add to the emotion of the breakdown.
top notch though everything else sounds eq'd the way you want it. |

Nice work. Really beautiful melodies.
I would say is your snare build seems a little erm.. well confusing in a way. This possibly could be because of the lack of a beat for a while but could be rectified with a little velocity tweaking or a pre amble of a beat with a cut kick or something.
Have nothing bad to say about the vocalist or vocal sample. Well processed and well executed.
Maybe a tiny bit too much scooped out the middle top of the kick EQ?
Otherwise though, loads of positives. Well arranged, loads of excellent patches and well produced. Again, nice work.
Cheers

100 % agreed. I have same problem... I like deep trance :), so my breaks are very long. So putting some percussive sounds is very good idea.
Nice Kate Lesing vocal putting. Nice break, but if you could make some automation with filtering and some gentle snares at the end of that break, it would be better. Because now that place where kick starts playing, atmosphere isn't changing a lot. Also I think, you need to search some percussive ideas.
good stuff here.

I do really like it, can't really give you as much information as you did to me in your review on my song...but just one points...sometimes over-polishing the sound can make it somehow..."dull" or whatever the word is, hope you get what I mean...you seem to know damn well what you are doing, but spontaneous producing has more of that spirit (or what you wanna call it).
Hope you get my point :)
otherwise great job on it! :) |
