right, when i'm in sound recorder, and you go to "convert" now, there isn't anything that has a 64 under the "mp3" option :( |

can't you record it into .wav and then convert it with any other program? i think even winamp does it. |

The problem of choosing specific sentences/words, Ian, is that every region has its own peculiarities, and we'd need a huge list. For example, many Americans would pronounce "pen/pin" and "cot/caught" the same way, and many Brits don't distinguish "heart/art" and "put/putt" at all (I believe that's your case). Probably, it would be more interesting if every speaker talked (or wrote) about his/her accent in the end, pointing out what's unique about it.
As for the encoding, tubularbills, the tutorial is quite simple... I just need some time to take the screenshots :) What program are you using, by the way?
Oh, and I'm looking for North American accents too, josh rising.

In our own language. In your case, Nachos, I really want to listen to your accent in Spanish because, as far as I know, the rolled "R" in Guatemala is somewhat unique.
Ivand, noikee and bangoSkank - I'm soon going to pm you guys in order to check how (and whether) we can do it :) |
