I think his real name is something boring like "Smith". He got the name Digweed because when he was younger he used to help his dad with his landscaping business. When he started spinning he went by the name "The Lawnmower Man" but he got sued by the movie company that owns the right to that name, so he changed it to John Diggin Weeds and Mowin Grass...then finally John Digweed.
