:p
Pretty much :)
It's generally a siren going off in my head somewhere that you're about to meet some self-obsessed idiot who's convinced themselves they're smart.

It was an amazing experience, right from the 4am wakeup to go pick up my friend (who lived an hour away in the opposite direction to where the ballooning was) to the brisk cold morning air (read: fkn cold!)... but once we got involved in unraveling the balloon so it could be blown up (combination of cold and hot air was used) and we started to lift off man it was fantastic.
I'll let the video speak for itself:

1. When do you consider someone an "intellectual?"
in the COR, if someone can string 3 words together and have them all spelled correctly.

completely depends on the person saying so. if they're obviously an intellectual then no, but if they're grasping at straws, yes.

1. When do you consider someone an "intellectual?"
When the person is an academic and not a scientist (refer to Snow's "Two Cultures"). Although the division between the science and the humanities is becoming more and more subtle with time, when I think of the word intellectual, I still think of a historian rather than a physicist :p

It depends (a lot) on the context, I reckon.
