| yes...and no. With the older wiis, you can have a mod chip that has a stealth setting. With the newer Wiis, The mod chips don't have a stealth setting. Pretty much what that means is when you update the Wii, It will detect the modchip. That will pretty much brick your Wii where you can't play ANY games. |

Pretty ingenious way to go about combating piracy IMO - especially considering you really can't effectively remove the internet connection if you're in the range of an active wifi signal (presuming it can connect to it). |
