I'm confused. This is a private plane that was occasionally used by the CIA for flights, that crashed with coke. Apart from the fact the pilot may have known some agents, where is the connection? It was not a govt sanctioned flight when it crashed from the info provided here.

I wouldn't say interesting so much as hypocritical. I can understand what they're doing and why they are doing it, but at what cost to the American people?

What do you mean you understand?

They're importing drugs in order to create untraceable income to spend on spies and assassins... which appear lately in the last several years to be completely incompetent.

Then Americans are being hunted and kidnapped (ie: imprisoned) by the state for using said drugs.

Thats what I mean. I understand they're importing blackmarket drugs to raise funds for spies, weapons, etc... I just think it is hypocritical that they're breaking the law in order to do so.

It just makes no sense.

No sense whatsoever.

You tell me. You've got the funds to employ people, resources such as planes, time, "intelligence" (apparently... ha) and an entire organization of con-men and people trained to lie and steal and kill.

So the biggest question of all is why they are flying in cocaine when they can just counterfeit money or similar schemes. Cheaper, safer, etc.

I hope I don't disappear for asking this. :(

Exactly. A lot of times you have elements of the CIA doing this without anyone else's knowledge or consent. They smuggle drugs so they don't have to tell their administrators why they need that extra $500,000.

But seriously point me towards any organization of con men and murderers and I'll point you to an organization that is running drugs or illegal arms.

Yup, what's amusing and sad at the same time is when specific incidents of drug trafficing and arm sales, not 'involving' the CIA, but rather, operation spearheaded by the CIA become part of the public records, like Iran Contra or this incident for example, it's obfuscated and forgotton. Ofcourse, most people aren't even aware of less than half of the incidents that actually become part of the public record. But what's really a testament to a short attention span, apathy, and complacency is how in 'intellectuals' and the ignorant middle class masses treat it as being an aberration as opposed to the norm. That kind of decadance isn't only repulsive, but completely retarded.

Compartmentalization, but it's usually (if not always) top down.

Counterfit money is dirty money btw and it leaves a trail. It's not exactly something easy to get away with, very easy to trace back. And the CIA don't need that kind of trouble with internal (national) institutions. It's high risk, definetly not safer. And when you do a cost benefit analysis, it is more costly.
