So this morning i just gave this record its first play. Such a versitile releases in my opinion, with the ability to be used in any set ranging from deep house to tech house to minimal. The theme on this releases as per usual with these producers is deep and sublimely produced sounds that envelop the listener and create a warm environment for the listener. With support for Villalobos ,Karotte, Miss Jools, Jimpster et al, I have no doubt this one will be heard quite a bit on dancefloors in the next few months. I personally can't wait to mix this f*kcer into 2 Armadillos - Butterfly Bee. My rating 9.5/10 A great follow up to their last Ep in which i played the piss out of 003 and its percussive analog bliss.
alternate review:
taken from phonica:
The Mountain People (Serafin and Andre Rozzo) can do no wrong in my book. Within their first 5 releases they have laid down some of the freshest and rawest that I have heard in so long. The A side is a dubby, deep as you like, percussive groove focussed on clanking, natural percussion that builds with subby bassline and simple yet oh so effective technique. Bound to be huge with the usual suspects. On the flip they go for a slightly more Housey take with yet still utilising their trademark percussive sound and subby groove. Both sides are absolute killers in my book and you need this record! (Giles Smith)

Awesome bassline, with fantastic percussion gives pretty nice groovey feel. Definitely gonna spin this a lot :)
Btw, when its about Mountain People, Azzuro is my favorite track. Awesome. |

| serafin and rozzo also did a remix under their own name, it should be out soon. 5.1 is great to overlap over boring samples that sound cool. |
