I really like this track, and I think i'm hearing some electronica/trancy influences in it. At least the melody is very dramatic and the lead synth is a saw. Personally, i'm predicting a few house/trance remixes of this track, it'd be a perfect fit IMO.

That was my favorite track on his album, he definitely bought something different to hip hop with this track.

the original sample used is from a french rapper called MC Solar track from the mid 90's. Nothing much was done more than add some reverb and some slight resequencing. I'll find the name out it escapes me at the moment. Such is life with sampling, but this has been done...just not recently.

which sample are you talking about? the "lights / flashing" female vocal? or the whole melody piece?

not the vocal, the melody. I think i have the record as well somewhere, i'll go through my tomorrow and post a sample, or in the least the name of the track.

The Urban world is getting more and more into the dance scene.

Great. So now not only will we have ing fluoros and roid boys in the crowd looking for fights, but we'll get gansta's and their "ho's" at festivals

Then they will claim that the backing synths are and have always been urban, not EDM, and that dance is still gay as aids because it doesn't have rap and no lyrics about my bitch, my ho, getting shot 124 times, burning money or drinkin crystalle with ma homies...

:wtf: :wtf: ... angry much?

why are so many people in the EDM scene so protective of the genre, like you? It's a great thing that some of its elements are being recognized and applied by artists in other areas of music, IMO. It's a community thing.

As if EDM producers weren't making remixes of urban tracks.

I never said I didn't like the song ;) I think it's ok and it's always nice to hear those elements in other tracks.

Just what I can see happening in the future...

EDIT - Could possibly just be my sheer hatred for Kanye West and the absolute wanker he is. Yea, that's probably it :toothless
