There are very few movie scenes that bring tears to my eyes no matter how many times I've seen them. Had it not been for Ennio Morricone's beautiful work with The Untouchables soundtrack, that scene would not be one of them. Death Theme is one of my favorite pieces of music.

Ennio Morricone is a master at creating beautiful scores for melodramatic scenes.

Check out the score for film The Mission.

One of the best soundtracks ever !

I love the The Mission, fantastic film and really beautiful music. I guess most people have heard Gabriel's Oboe.

When it comes to soundtracks, Hans Zimmer, Angelo Badalamenti and Ennio Morricone win!
