"The Pond" on 42nd street @ Bryant Park. It's free (just skate rental) and, obviously, free is good, compared to ridic high prices @ Rockefeller Center, for a smaller skating space... It's at 42nd street & 6th avenue?

Well, that won't work cause we'll be up for the weekend (K&A) so we need stuff to do. so it's Bryant Park or Central Park.

just keep in mind that normally around the holidays the Central Park Skating Ring might have like a 2 hour line and then the skate renting kid might drop a funny that they out of skates in your size and you got to wait longer. :tongue3 (which used to be my favorite joke when i worked there as a kid to play on poor tourist after they stood in line for two hours)
