Dave King - Bring Back The Big Room [Prog/Trance]

I dont know about the rest of the world, but here in the UK, and especially London, the number of big room clubs closing their doors or moving away from dance music is on the up. Smaller venues are cool, but they dont quite have that same vibe as the bigger places, with their high ceilings, balconies and that colouration of the sound you only get by playing dance music ing loud in a cavernous space.
I was thinking about this when I put this mix together and its a collection of tunes that I think encompasses the big room sound that I love, groovy, melodic, electronic music with a few hands in the air moments. If you're looking for "Big Room Trance" a la Armin et al then you may be disappointed, but please listen anyway, you might like it ;)
As always with these things, comments and criticisms are more than welcome, enjoy :)

This is actually quality, a really good mixture of driving proggy trance with just the right helping of more anthemic tunes. That Santos track fits in perfectly and the couple of bits of psy you used weren't too psy so worked well too I thought.
Seriously impressed :) |

Would I be right in saying this was mixed using all vinyl??
A couple of the mixes were slightly raw (not a criticism) and tbh it was so refreshing to hear a mix like that as opposed to some digitally enhanced or aided computer mix.
Very well structured and builds and teases in all the right places.
Some very unique tracks in here and the fact you finished with one of the greatest trance songs of all time gets the thumbs up from me!! |

Cheers guys, glad you enjoyed it!! :D
A.B.: It wasn't mixed on vinyl but on a pair of CDJ800s and a Xone:42, and all live too! |
